Bath time!

Here's a video of baby's first bath in her blue bath tub. Unfortunately I missed her making bubbles with her bum. It was pretty funny!

Count your blessings...

We came home on Sunday with Molly. On Tuesday,9/16, I rushed Sarah to the hospital with extremely high blood pressure. She was hysterical. She was having trouble breathing and felt as if her head was going to explode. There was nothing I could say or do. I could not make it better. She was admitted into the ER at Mercy Gilbert. We spent the night in Triage and she was tested for all kinds of things. The original thought was Cardiomyopothy. We spent the night in the ER triage behind a curtain. Sarah was given a more comfortable bed, while I was given the gurney she was originally in. Sarah was given LOTS of drugs. We listened to the hospital staff as they saved a very old man's life. We listened to a two month old baby with a heat condition cry, while his THIRTEEN year old mother stood by. The staff also told me there was someone bleeding to death down the hall. Sarah's blood pressure and heart rate jumped up very high again and so the hospital staff started another round of drugs to try to fix it. We were finally moved into a room in the Telemetry section of the hospital. On Thursday we were informed by a cardiologist and a very insensitive way that when Sarah arrived to the hospital on Tuesday, she was experiencing Congestive Heart Failure. This came as quite a shock to us and was difficult to hear. We had trouble getting a lot of answers and an explanation. Sarah was kept in the hospital so they could monitor her condition. She was treated pretty well. After more tests with no bad results, they told her she would be released on Friday. I was there with her and Molly. It was a great feeling to be taking my beautiful wife and baby home (again). We will have a lot of follow-up appointments and have some eating habits to change so that Sarah can remain healthy. It's great that we still have the chance to make these changes together and to be with Molly together.
We are very greatful to all of our friends and family for the love and support we received. We received flowers from people and had a lot of loving visitors, text messages and phone calls. Thank you all! I love you.

What day is it?

Well it's Monday, I think. Sunday was the big day. We brought Molly home and introduced her to the dogs. Nana (Grandma Chester) was nice enough to help us and drove Mommy and Molly home. I got there first and took the dogs out for a walk and arrived to the house at the same time they did. The dogs were SO excited to see Mommy because she has been gone since Wednesday. I kept them on their leads to avoid jumping and injury to Mommy and certain death to dogs. They did very well with Molly. They are very curious and did lots of sniffing! Carla seems to be less interested than Norman. She sniffed and gave some gentle kisses to Molly. Norman wants to be around her a lot and wants to sniff and be involved in everything with her. They are a little freaked out by her crying and screaching. She does not really seem to be scared when they bark. Maybe she got used to it while she was in the belly...
Mom and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa Buvala (Mr. Buvala, even though I have not heard him say that to Molly yet) were also here to assist with the arrival on Sunday. They and Nana were a very big help. Thanks!! Mom and Dad stayed until about 11pm. Nana Chester had to go home because she had been with us ALL DAY. She's been a huge help. So then it was just Mommy, Daddy, Molly, Carla and Norman. We had a good night, but it was kind of scarey! We did not know what to do. Where to sleep? Where to put the dogs? Where to put Molly? When we finally went to bed for the first time, Mommy was trying to feed Molly in the bed. It didn't work out too well, but eventually Molly went to sleep. I wrapped her in a big blanket and then put her in the beautiful cradle. She looked so tiny in there. Sarah and I layed in the bed with the dogs. I could not sleep...New Daddy fears of the baby not breathing and stuff like that. Sarah is exhausted so she slept more than I. About one hour later, I heard noises from the cradle. I got up and found the baby still sleeping, but her head was kinda cocked to the side because of the thing she was sleeping on inside the cradle. It's supposed to keep them from rolling, but I think it's stupid because of the position it puts their heads in... anyways, we all got up and Molly screamed some more. She was changed and given some more eats. I think I changed her again and then ended up with her in the rocking chair. (She slept for about 3 hours which was good because Mommy got some rest.) I slept too but woke up every time she moved or gasped or anything. I was also freezing, but I didn't want to move and wake her up. I eventually tried to put her in the crib, but she was not having that. So I scooped her up and we went back to sleep in the rocking chair. 5:30AM, another pee pee diaper change and more eats... Mommy and Molly are back to sleep, in the rocking chair. 6:45AM, here I am, updating the blog and Face Book... My new life... :)

Thanks everyone!

Hi- Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for coming to visit and being there for us. Sarah and baby are doing well. Sarah is tired and pretty sore, but she's happy. I'm very proud of Sarah and her efforts with feeding and all that good stuff! We are thankful to have been blessed with a beautiful baby girl. Holy crap she's a beautiful girl and I'm very happy with her. Her chubby cheeks and legs are beautiful. Even her hairy little ears are beautiful. I love her little squeaks and noises and the facial expressions she makes. Randi said I was going to be "so gay" for her. She was right! :) Here are a few pictures of baby and family. I will add some more later. I apologize to everyone I did not include, but I'll later. I just wanted to add some while I was home for a bit. I have to go clean house now! :)

Testing, 1 2 3...

Sarah had to go to the Maternity Triage center at the hospital again today. She is very uncomfortable and READY for Molly to make her way out. Her tests have been the same (not getting any worse) and her blood pressure is still high, yet they still do not feel Molly needs to come out early. Her doc. is out of town for a week and a half, so Sarah will be seeing the other doc. on Wednesday. It seems like a long time between appointments with all that is going on, but what do I know. I guess we'll just have to wait!

Doesn't this look like fun?
